Marine Ecology & Coral Reefs
Be ready for this exciting 3.5-day program and see the underwater world in a whole new way! Firstly, you will learn about the various relationships that marine animals have with the reef. Later, your instructor will teach you more about the local underwater ecology, overfishing and ocean pollution. After completing the 6 dives included in this program, you’re sure to have a better understanding of our underwater environment. Additionally, your future dives will become even more interesting while you will continue to observe these behaviours. If you have more questions, you can check HERE all our conservation programs.
Marine Megafauna ID
In cooperation with the Marine Megafauna Foundation and Manta Trust, we are offering a 3.5-day journey of wonder. We will go in-depth on the gentle giants that inhabit our waters together with the identification of the local sea turtles. Together, we will go over their physiology, habitat, behaviours, and more. In reality, an integral part will be understanding how Manta rays and Turtles Watch use citizen science to help protect these creatures. Besides, you too will take part in collecting data that will be put to good use!
Coral Reef & Fish Survey Method
This short-length course will teach you in 1.5 days and over 2 dives how to identify key species of fish and corals. Not only, you will seek to help protect our marine environment, but also you will go over how you can help and contribute. Additionally, your instructor will conduct a series of interactive presentations. They will expand your understanding of ocean conservation. Finally, you will leave with a strong insight into our environment.
Reef Health Monitoring
This 6-day program is for you if you love corals! While you’ll learn all about the different varieties of coral, we will also teach you how we can protect them. Furthermore, you will understand their important role in our environment. Corals are animals, not plants. Not to mention, they are made up of thousands of polyps that work together to form coral shapes. Additionally, you’ll also get the opportunity to go on a special Coral Watch dive as you master survey techniques like Point Intercept Transect (PIT). Later, you will get hands-on experience in monitoring coral health. Besides, you will learn what constitutes coral bleaching and collect data that will be sent to be put to good use.
